Seattle is known for many things: being the birthplace of grunge, performing arts and the Space Needle. But what many tourists dont know is the city that endures constant cloudy days and rainstorms is home to hundreds of long-gone residents who refuse to move along. Many lurk in old hotels, pestering guests and frightening them into other accommodations, while others wait for children to visit - the perfect time to lure a soul to the other side. Without the walls of a haunted home to box you in, many spirits lie in wait below your feet in the ruins of former Seattle.
Seattles paranormal presence dates back centuries - if not thousands of years. Native Americans inhabited the area at least 4,000 years before English settlers, and their spirits and tales remain in the area. The Gold Rush era brought thousands of prospectors out West. Many would never return home, now sorrowfully walking Seattles streets, alleys and interiors, mourning their deaths and harassing the living.
The citys official founding in 1869 made way for more to venture out W est, and the following brothels, saloons and boarding houses were the final destinations for countless souls who have failed to rest peacefully.
Seattles nickname of the "Emerald City" is fitting, and about more than the citys expansive surrounding of dark evergreen forests...The region is a gem for paranormal activity - inescapable regardless of where you may roam.
